Nine in 10 women ages 35 and up experience menopause symptoms, such as insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, muscle or joint pain, hot flashes, and more. For one in three women, those symptoms are severe enough to cause 11 or more missed workdays, with some women even leaving the workforce altogether.
Employers can make a difference during this life stage by providing benefits and accommodations that help employees stay healthy, productive, and able to do their best work. But support isn't one-size-fits-all; the best way to know what will help is to ask employees themselves.
